Newcastle University

Faculty Member, School of Historical Studies

Lecturer in Roman Archaeology

About

I'm interested in the End of Roman Britain, material culture (pottery and coins), economics and chronology. I am also interested the economic exploitation of coastal environments.

I work primarily in the West Country (Somerset and Dorset, UK) and London, but have also been known to work in Orkney on Viking and Medieval projects (most recently at the Brough of Deerness).

I completed my PhD at the University of York in 2005. My MA was finished in 2001 in the same institution. I read Archaeology and Prehistory (BA Hons) at the Univeristy of Sheffield 1997-2000.
