About
I am a biological anthropologist with an interest in the way that dental development can be used to reconstruct life history evolution in a variety of fossil and extant mammals. I work on Paleocene and Eocene archaic ungulates and euarchontans, including early euprimates. I am also working on changes in tooth size during the dwarfing process in Pleistocene elephants and hippos. I collaborate with researchers investigating the incorporation of trace elements into dental hard tissues and how they can be used to reveal dietary changes during the weaning process and exposure to lead in children.
